George Georgiades was born in 1995 in Johannesburg. He is an Industrial Engineer and Director at Tecbot and Leep Technologies, two African-based companies. He has a history of working within the information technology and services industry, particularly in software development, operations, sales, physics, computer-aided design, engineering, and mathematics.

He has developed and implemented solutions in the architectural, retail and e-commerce industries with a wide range of products including document management platforms and point of sale systems.[1]

Georgiades attended SAHETI School (a Greek school) in Johannesburg.[2] He has a BSc Eng in Industrial Engineering which he obtained from the University of Witwatersrand (WITS) in 2019.[3]

Georgiades has said that “his passion for software stemmed from his passion for innovation”, claiming to always look up to companies that make life easier for people. His degree taught him “a substantial amount about tech and business”.[4]

He became the Director of Tecbot in February 2017, a software development company.[5] Tecbot was started with his childhood friend, Paul Selibas, while they were still in university as a means to generate revenue while studying software. The company offers services in a multitude of fields.

Georgiades became the Director of Leep Technologies in 2019. The company is headquartered in Johannesburg.[6] Leep Africa is a startup company that focuses on disrupting the Internet-of-Things (IoT) space in Africa. Georgiades led the company to build its first product, Leep Connect - a mobile hotspot network designed to provide people with free internet access in various modes of transportation. [7]

Georgiades has invested in his own businesses, Tecbot and Leep Africa.[8]
