Modelled around recent Encyclopedia formats (including the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy and Wikipedia), the African Innovation Encyclopedia is designed so that each article and content is regularly kept up-to-date and provides objective and factual information to whoever is interested in the topic of African Innovation. We have a vision of ensuring that the right content about African Innovation is available to generations 100 years from today. This content transcends the multimedia platforms of the day and will morph and adapt to whatever technological advancements are made in the coming decades. Since its conception, the Encyclopedia portal has become a powerful tool that allows people access to information on African innovation and technological trends that affect our continent. How Will We Know If We Are Making Progress?

- The Open Encyclopedia of African Innovation is written in English but we have an ambitious vision of having our content being represented in the top African languages spoken on the continent - Swahili, Amharic:አማርኛ, Yorùbá, Ị̀gbò, Hausa, Oromo, Français, Português, isiZulu, chiShona and Arabic:العَرَبِيَّة.
