Ross Paton is the CEO and co-founder of the virtual recruitment platform Nomad Now. The company hires professional permanent and flexible staff through an online platform. Paton is also the co-founder and managing director of Paton Personnel. Paton Personnel is a recruitment, training and talent agency through which Nomad Now is funded.[1]
History
Paton holds an LLB from the University of Cape Town.[2] Paton worked as a legal advisor at Gold Fields SA in 1987. He then moved to corporate financing in Investec. Paton co-founded Paton Personnel in 1996 with Allison Paton, and is now the managing director of the company. In 2013, Paton became the co-owner of Thrive Cafe on Vilakazi street in Soweto with Thembi Mahlangu until 2015 when he sold the cafe. It is now known as Vuyo’s. In 2016, Paton co-founded Nomad Now with Christel Bezou.[3]
Achievements
Paton Personnel has won the PMR Diamond, Gold and Silver Arrow awards in the Legal, Insurance, Financial, Banking and Accounting sectors.
Nomad Now was rated 7/10 by the Oxford Fairwork Institute.
